Visa for Zimbabwe
Visa Requirements

Tourist Visa Requirements:

  1. Provide your signed original passport book.  NOTE: Your valid passport book must have at least six months of remaining validity and at least one blank page in it.  Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for visa stamps.

  2. Two (2) completed Visa Application Forms
    NOTE: improperly completed forms may delay the processing of your visa.  The signature on each visa application must be original. 

  3. Two passport pictures in color, front view and with a plain/light background. 

  4. Letter of Authorization to process your visa.

  5. Complete the IAG Customer Order Form

  6. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever if arriving within 5 days from an infected area.

    • If staying a private residence: must include a letter of invitation from their hosts in Zimbabwe, which should state the following: a) Hosts names and address. B) Applicants name c) Length of stay in Zimbabwe, and d) Purpose of the visit. Please include host’s proof of residency: current lease agreement or recent water/electric bill showing host’s name and address as printer on the application form.
    • If traveling for pleasure: flight itinerary, tour itinerary, hotel reservation confirmation, hunting permit (2) – staple one to each form.
    • Transit Visa: If traveler intends to pass through immigration, a visa may be required. Please confirm with your travel agent or airline to determine if the itinerary is for direct airside transit.

 

Business Visa Requirements:

  3. Two (2) passport pictures in color, front view and with a plain/light background. 

  4. Round trip air tickets and hotel reservation.

  5. Letter of Authorization to process your visa.

  6. Complete the IAG Customer Order Form

  7. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever if arriving within 5 days from an infected area. 

  8. Letter from the employer or sponsoring company, on their letterhead stationery, and signed by a senior manager (or by an officer of the company other than the applicant), addressed to: “Embassy of Zimbabwe. Visa Section. Washington D.C.” This letter must explain all of the following: a brief introduction of the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant), a clear statement of the precise nature of the business to be conducted by applicant in Zimbabwe, the name and address of reference to be visited, a guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit. 

  9. A business letter of invitation from the company to be visited in Zimbabwe (must be printed on company’s official letterhead). This letter must mention the applicant and explain the purpose of his/her visit. In addition, the letter must indicate the length and place of stay, and include the company’s contact information.

Note: Countries listed below require approval before visa can be issued; visa can take up to 4 weeks or longer to be issued. Additional Requirements:

  • If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, you must first submit your passport to have pages added, or if your passport expires within six months, you must first renew your passport.  Please call us to assist you with obtaining or renewing your passport, or adding pages to your existing passport book.  We can secure your visa using the added pages or new passport.
  • Non US-passport holders, temporary foreign visitors with a valid US visa, or foreign residents with legitimate status in the US may apply for a visa to Zimbabwe.  Applicants in these categories must send a photocopy of their US Green Card, Work Permit, I-20 Form, valid US Visa, and valid ID along with the above requirements.  The Embassy will decide whether to issue the visa on a case by case basis. The Embassy may ask the applicant to provide additional documents.
  • Applicants under the age of 18 (eighteen) MUST provide the following documents in addition to the standard requirements stated above:

      • Copy of Birth Certificate
      • Signed Letters of Consent by both parents
      • Photocopies of the parents' passports (bio-data page) or valid ID
